A touch of the alternative. Menswear is often about adding that something but not to much of it.
Holland & Sherry Navy and Houndstooth
Andy emailed an image through to us which is included in the gallery. He couldn’t find that suit anywhere and made the right choice to have it made rather than settling for something he really didn’t want.
“We haven’t been able to find anything until now. I’ve just been so busy with work it’s impossible to get to the shops” – Andy
Andy opted to come and see us for his consultation and after the suit was finished he came back to us for his fitting. At this stage he decided he didn’t like the buttons he had chosen and so we offered to switch them for alternatives and at this point we decided to add the skull to the last sleeve button position as a nod to Andy’s alternative style.
This Holland and Sherry creating is a heavy weight 420 grams per sq meter coat in navy twill. The trousers and waistcoat are also in Holland and Sherry and are equally as heavy. Andy really wanted to feel the substantialness of a hard wearing winter suit that will last many cold seasons.
The buttons are mother of pear with the exception of the last sleeve button as you can see. The lining inside the jacket is a dog tooth to compliment the waistcoat and trousers but also to tie the whole suit together as one. We also contrasted the button hole on the lapel and the last of the sleeve buttonholes in a thread that draws parallels with the shade of the waistcoat and trousers again tying marrying the jacket to the rest of the ensemble. £1,100
