Business doesn’t have to be boring.
James came to us in near despair. He had been trying to find a suit for work, that not only fits him well, but that wasn’t too boring, or too garish. He was having no such luck in the shops. The answer so far as we were concerned was simple. He needed to choose a cloth from our Scabal – Just In Time bunch, and have it tailored to his exacting specifications.

I was actually wearing this suit, or one similar to it, when Jame’s came for his consultation. So he could immediately see what I meant, when I explained that “the trick to keeping menswear quiet but fashionable, is to do something, anything, but not too much.” As you can see the suit is grey, but not an ordinary flat grey, and its also a pin stipe, except the stripe appears in a vibrant blue almost as if it were glowing.
The Suit
This is a modern take on the pin stripe which is over laid with another stripe and gives the impression that the pin stripe is aglow. We made this one as a two piece suit. A single breasted two button jacket with a notch lapel is a safe bet for the office. And plain fronted trousers, with besom pockets are a modern addition. Also notice the hand sewn lapel buttonhole, which adds a touch of sophistication at the same time as telling others the suit has been hand made.
